British Art Matters podcast is now live!

Updated: Jul 3

British Art Matters is the official podcast of the Berger Prize, awarded annually for excellence in British art history through the generosity of the Berger Collection Educational Trust. The podcast is hosted by Dr Christina Faraday and brought to you by The Walpole Society.

The first two episodes of the podcast are now live on our website, under the Berger Prize tab:

They are also available to listen to on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

In the first episode, Christina meets Dr Jonny Yarker, the chairman of the judging panel for the Berger Prize. In the second episode, she speaks to 2023 Berger Prize winner Tim Clayton about his prizewinning book, James Gillray: A Revolution in Satire.

A further batch of episodes will be released in the autumn, as Christina meets each of the six authors shortlisted for the 2024 Berger Prize.
